Taylor Swift: All The Amazing Eras Tour

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour has been making headlines once again as she returns to the stage with significant changes. These adjustments, including the removal of beloved songs to make way for new material, have stirred emotions among fans, especially those following the tour closely.

The Return and Transformation of The Eras Tour:

Upon her return to The Eras Tour, Taylor Swift made notable changes, including removing several songs to introduce a new era: The Tortured Poets Department. This era, which debuted shortly after her eleventh studio album release, has reshaped the tour’s dynamic.

One of the most significant changes was the removal of “Long Live” from the setlist. This decision hit fans hard because “Long Live” wasn’t initially included in the tour when it began but was added four months in.

Taylor Swift Cuts “Long Live” From The Eras Tour Setlist:

“Long Live” from the Speak Now album has had a turbulent journey throughout The Eras Tour. Initially excluded, it was later added after the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in July 2023, becoming a permanent fixture until now.

The song’s exclusion is particularly heart-breaking as it has been a fan favourite and a celebration of Swift’s journey with her bandmates and fans.’ Long Live’ was also initially cut from The Eras Tour movie released in theatres but was later added as a bonus feature in the VOD release. By March 2024, it was edited into its proper placement in the Disney+ version of the movie, bringing joy to many fans.

Other Notable Changes to the Setlist:

To make room for songs from The Tortured Poets Department, Swift removed a total of six songs from various eras. In addition to “Long Live,” the songs cut include “The Archer,” “’tis the damn season,” “tolerate it,” “the 1,” and “the last great American dynasty.” These songs were integral to the tour’s original setlist and their removal has left a significant impact on the concert experience.

What The Eras Tour Movie Songs Are Now Missing From Taylor Swift’s Live Setlist:

Swift’s decision to cut these songs has puzzled many fans, especially since five of them were featured in The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) movie on Disney+. “The Archer,” another song initially cut from the theatrical release, was later restored in the streaming version. “Tolerate it,” “the 1,” and “the last great American dynasty” were also included in the movie but are now missing from the live performances.

The only song removed from the setlist that wasn’t part of any version of the movie is “’tis the damn season.” This song was swapped for “no body, no crime” during the filming of The Eras Tour movie in L.A.
